The Plans

It has suddenly dawned on me that I haven’t actually shared my architect’s drawings with you all! So, I only thought it right to do this now before works get underway.

But before I do, a little update for you all, as you know we have received our revised tender specs and are currently (and may I add, eagerly) waiting for new build quotes from our prospective builders. Since receiving these specs, we have received a PASS for our new SAP calculations (SAP calculations are a Building Regulations requirement for all new houses & conversions and some extensions. The Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) is a measure of the energy efficiency of a property). As we changed a lot of the insulation methods and build criteria in our revised specs, we had to submit new SAP calculations. Thankfully these have passed. And literally today, we have submitted an amended building control application.

So there are now only two aspects we are waiting on for approval and these are; planning permission for the LPG tank and building control sign off. Target date for these are end May.

Right, enough of the background, on to the foreground! The drawings…our renovations plans. Below are the current and proposed drawings for the house. I hope you approve!?

Looking good – particularly like the apex above Riley’s bedroom, def adds a different and better astetic appeal. Almost there and ready to start after what must seem like a forever wait … 👍

Late to your renovation party – but you have such similar taste to me! Your house looks fab!! We are also looking at Tom Howley / Mazzano marble / silestone yukon for kitchen/ diner renovation! Can I ask the dimensions of one of your new kitchen room to get an idea of the scale of your project? Also – honestly how did you find the static caravan experience? Our budget is very tight and I hate the idea of having to waste part of it on rent as we will have to move out (with our 3 small children….)

Hi, hop over to my q&a blogpost as I’ve loaded a floor plan and the approx room dimensions. The caravan was absolutely fine, it saved us so much money and allowed us to be on site which is priceless! Just make sure you get a bog one!!
