Day 4, demolition derby

Man, what a difference a day (or two) makes! Our house, our home, is quite simply a building site. We have walls knocked down, bathrooms skipped, a chimney demolished, decking removed, floors drilled up and a conservatory pretty much flattened. Everything seems to have happened so quickly, and we are only 4 days in!

I can at this stage report some good news; the flooring in the lounge and office is in fact suspended which means there is no need for it to be dug up. This is brilliant as it reduces the time spent on demo and inevitably our costs – bonus! Also, the chimney demo has taken much less time than originally forecasted. We already have a new roof where the chimney used to be.

So far things are progressing well… long let this continue!

Goodness you just have the shell of the house left! Complete new home here you come, you won’t know yourselves, nothing will be the same again, the house is so beautifully situated and think of the money you’ve ‘saved’ by not buying and selling on stamp, fees, and sols lol’. All designed by Mrs C and approved by Mr C
