The Buzz Hub – #SHOPLOCAL

As we #stayhome and stay safe, I would like to share with you all a fantastic online business called The Buzz Hub. It is a blog and business directory that thrives on bringing small businesses and people together, within our local community. Katy Murray, the company Director, is my guest for this post and will tell you a little bit more about The Buzz Hub and its current efforts to help small businesses at this difficult time.
Supporting local keeps the heart of communities beating, gives colour to our high streets and highlights individuals over brands. Now you can find local, shop local and support local from the comfort of your sofa, just by searching our site.
– The Buzz Hub

We’ve run a blog and business directory based originally in Tring and then expanding into the surrounding areas of Berkhamsted, Wendover and beyond for the last three years. We’ve always been so impressed with the business community here and the incredible variety of talented businesses from whom we continue to draw inspiration.  From the the most creative designer-makers, talented food and drinks producers, enterprising freelancers and generally unique, colourful high streets it feels like a hot-spot for independent business.

Watching the impact of the last few weeks and sheer worry of the businesses as the public was warned to stay away has been completely heartbreaking. With situations changing daily we’ve used our platforms to share as much information as possible via our social media, to both support businesses and keep the public up-to-date. The response by local businesses has been nothing short of inspirational as they have moved swiftly to adapt and many run their businesses online.

We realise that we are in a unique position to help with this and so created a place for these businesses and link them with the public looking for them on our #SHOPLOCAL page (linked here).

We believe that supporting local has never been so important and we want everyone to know that they can still do this online.

Thank you to Katy for sharing the above. Please go and check out the #SHOPLOCAL page and support our local businesses who adapt to an online marketplace.

Thanks for reading, SJ x
